The 3 things you HAVE TO know about petrol in diesel!

Water Contamination or AdBlue Contamination

Water contaminated fuel, no matter whether it's unleaded or diesel, is without question a serious condition to take care of in a vehicle - specifically in more modern common-rail engines.

Water or AdBlue in the diesel or petrol will likely result in idling issues, lumpy running, increased smoke and, if it is not remedied properly, potentially blown injectors. Water in petrol is less difficult to get rid of compared to water in diesel - mostly due to the fact that diesel is an oil. Having said that we can solve both circumstances pretty swiftly.

Keep in mind though that so long as the vehicle has been run with the fuel contaminated with water it will likely require a new fuel filter fitted as the old one will be totally wet and useless.

Motorboat Fuel Drains

If it turns out there is the incorrect fuel, or contaminated fuel (most typically water contamination or old fuel) in a boat we can certainly help drain it. Provided that the boat is either on land, or parked close to a motor vehicle parking bay we should be able to gain access to the fuel tanks and drain out the contaminated fuel. We've performed quite a few fuel drains at marinas and boatyards nationwide.
